Japanese luthier Yukinobu Chai made concert Alto guitar, with hardcase.
He was the main supplier for the Niibori School of Guitar Ensemble and made a wide range of guitars models including alto, soprano, bass and baritone models.
Cedar top with a few marks and dents, Acacia sides and back. Alto 530mm scale length with 50mm nut.
Ramirez style 5 fan bracing.
String action height currently 1st-string 2.5mm and 6st-string 2.7mm.
Yukinobu Chai was a master luthier in Japan. He began his career in the early 1960s.
The alto guitar or Terz is considered the violin of guitars. It is a smaller version of the classical guitar, designed to be fitted with lighter strings and tuned a perfect fifth higher, to B-E-A-D-F♯/G♭-B.
