1875 - 1912 German luthier made parlor guitar.

German made parlor from Braun & Hauser in Vienna construction. German Spruce top with “Vogelahorn” Maple sides and back, 560mm scale length with 42mm nut.

Body dimensions 400mm length, 285 lower bout and 70mm depth.

String action height currently 1st-string 1.3mm and 6st-string 1.5mm with no buzzing, nice finger-style action. Saddle is of fret wire to ensure original tone.

I contacted Hermann Hauser III to inquire about the guitar and his opinion was the guitar may have been built by Josef Hauser or after Hermann Hauser left the company in 1908. The label may have been placed in 1912 as outlined on the label after a repair or placed in another constructed guitar before 1912.

In any rate the guitar has just arrived from complete restoration in Vermont including the use of modern light strings and truss rod.
